IACURH stands for the Intermountain Affiliate of College and University Residence Halls. We are one of eight regional affiliates of the national association NACURH, Inc. As stated in the Articles of Incorporation of NACURH, the purpose of the national organization is to "design and facilitate programs and informational services to promote the educational goals of residence hall students through discussion groups, seminars, and speakers at the annual conferences and other means of information exchange throughout the year." We attempt to fulfill these goals through our conferences and our services. Conferences provide an environment that encourages generation of new and fresh ideas for all college and university campuses and affords them the support for these ideas to grow and develop. Offering regional and national conferences, students and member schools are given an opportunity for enhancing leadership skills, developing new program ideas, and revitalizing motivation among delegates. Other services provided, include the NACURH Information Center which houses a system of reference files available to member schools for use on their campuses. Also NACURH provides the services of the National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) which is the national organizations office for providing recognition services to member schools. By taking an active role in NACURH and the services it has to offer, each resident hall student can help us accomplish our basic goal of improving residence halls regionally and nationally. The Intermountain Affiliate is made up of 7 U.S. states and two Canadian provinces, including, Alberta, Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Saskatchewan, Utah, and Wyoming.
